Sangha Convention to call for Prime Ministers' resignation

A large number of Buddhist monks will gather at the All Ceylon Buddhist Congress Hall to discuss the current situation in the country.
The MahaSngha will then hold a Sangha Convention forcing Prime minister Mahinda Rajapaksa to quit.
According to Ven. Omalpe Sobitha Thera, the Maha Sangha, would have an audience with the political leaders to impart some much-needed advice on good governance.
The Ven. Sobitha Thera said all political leaders except Professor G.L.Pereis agreed to meet with the Buddhist priests.
Professor Peiris has said that he could not attend the meeting since the government group on Thursday night resolved to support the Prime Minister to continue in his position.
