Sashi faces two years of Rigorous Imprisonment.

Colombo Chief Magistrate's Court today imposed two-years-rigorous imprisonment and a fine of Rs 100,000 on Shashi Weerawansa, the wife of National Freedom Front (NFF) Leader and former Minister Wimal Weerawansa.

She was found guilty of the offence of fraudulently obtaining two passports. Reports said Mrs Weerawansa had fraudulently obtained two passports, including a diplomatic passport, by submitting forged documents to the Department of Immigration and Emigration.

Sashi faces two years of Rigorous Imprisonment.
