State TV stations suspend transmission.

The President has appointed Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe as the acting President. The Speaker announced today. Authorities also suspended transmission of the State Television Rupavahini after large crowds gathered near the state television with a plan to take it over. The ITN has also moved to stop transmission.
