The Department of Examinations (DoE) has closed its One Day, and Normal Service Counters, due to health concerns arising from the current COVID-19 situation. The counters will be closed temporarily as of tomorrow, July 15, the DoE announced.
However, students could apply for their certificates on-line, a press release from the Department stated. Certificates will be delivered to the student’s home within 48 hours. Students can apply for their certificates via www.doenets.lk or phone the DoE hotline 1911 for more information.
Meanwhile, Director-General of Health Services Dr Anil Jasinghe in a press statement said fake news is spreading with regard to the current Covid-19 situation in the country. He assured that the number of COVID-19 positive cases will be made public.
At the time of writing, 11 COVID-19 positive patients had been identified today, July 14. Of these, four are inmates of the Senapura Rehabilitation Center and two from Kundasale, and one from Rajaganaya area.
