Presidential election next year says the president 

President Ranil Wickremesinghe today said that, in accordance with the Constitution, the presidential election is scheduled for next year, followed by the parliamentary election .

He was addressing the UNP convention at the Sugathadasa Indoor Stadium today

However, he said that the Provincial Council election is planned for early 2025
