He said that the former President had complained to the Police and subsequently met with the Inspector General of Police but they couldn’t find any clue relating to the ransacking of the former Presidents house.

He said soon after the meeting the former President had with two Police officers who had visited the house of the former president had told the watcher there to take responsibility.

“The suspects who ransacked the house did not remove any valuables and said that this incident had put the former President’s life in jeopardy”

He reminded the government politicians that every one of you on your side had worked under her and she had given leadership to the country twice as the President.

Welgama said a similar incident took place at his office during elections but no suspect had been apprehended so far, He also reminded Lohan Ratwatte of the incident involving the former President’s residence.
