Energy Minister Udaya Gammanpila said today at a function in Kolonnawa that the Trincomalee oil tank farm will be vested with the government shortly.

He said that the talks with Indian High commissioner in Colombo in this regard have been successful.

The Minister made it a point to thank the High Commissioner for the cooperation extended during the discussions.

He also said that the Indian officials had agreed to the new terms and conditions formulated by the Sri Lankan side and agreed to forego the agreement signed in 2017. He said he made this decision after consulting Trade Unions and other stakeholders.
