The Federation of Univesity Teachers (FUTA) today staged a protest against the Kotalawala Defence University Bill, alleging it will pave the way to militarize free education in Sri Lanka.
The Ceylon Teachers Union has also expressed their opposition to the Bill. However, this Bill is scheduled to be debated in Parliament in August this year.
